Soraya, Lily and Isaac AKA 'The
Walking Wounded' joined Jeremy Vine in one of BBC Radio 2's studios today for
his lunchtime show.
After a tinkle on the 'ivories' on Elton John's piano (see photo below), our game three had a quick chat with Ken Bruce and
his team before joining Jeremy on the planning meeting for his show. They then
sat in on the entire programme.
There was a lively and intelligent debate on whether
UKIP's gay members should be able to take part in Gay Pride this weekend,
discussion about the migrant situation in Calais and a quirky story on
poisonous plants all interspersed with music as diverse as Taylor Swift to the
Jacksons and the Beach Boys. They were even treated to the team dealing with
the first hoax call in five years. It was quite an experience and education for
our trio!
Jeremy and his team were delightful and charming hosts
and couldn't have made us feel more welcome. It could just be that one of our
trio will end up on the radio or behind the scenes in the future...
