Exmoor - Day 4

No rain today so this morning we headed out to try clay pigeon shooting in the fields above Northmoor House.

Now everyone is wearing brightly coloured aprons to learn how to prepare, cook and serve a barbecue.

Later we will solve a Murder Mystery at the house, performed by local actors. Perfect venue for a whodunit.

Preparing for the barbecue this evening- all hands on deck...

Our Last Supper at Northmoor

Best ever barbecue - prepared and cooked by Latymerians!

Exmoor - Day 3

Today it rained and the sea swell was too fierce for coasteering so we went inland to Wimbleball Lake. A riotous day of team building and super paddling exhausted the troops amid much laughter.

Tonight we are back at Northmoor House where the Victorian roll top baths are being much appreciated!

Fish and chip supper is welcome - no washing up!

Despite the weather we have had great fun today!

Exmoor - Day 2

Breakfast in our splendid garden at Northmoor House was followed by a day walking on Exmoor led by a National Trust ranger.

We walked under ancient beeches and oaks, along a bubbling river and over bridges. We didn't even mind the rain!

Misia and Tom and our resident cats!

This evening the Lower Sixth (led by School Captain Elect) organised a quiz for Year 10. Very competitive! Great fun had by all!

Year 10 to start their cooking for our dinner!

Exmoor - Day 1

Transit day to Exmoor - pupils share a seat with Paddington!

We arrived in our idyllic Victorian country house! We have the run of a massive Agatha Christie mansion with a maze of rooms. The L6 are cooking supper whilst Year 10 play in the extensive grounds.

Planning our first adventure on Exmoor tomorrow but until then, we live the life of Victorian gentry!
