Yorkshire Dales Day 5 - ETA 5.30-6pm
Pupils cleaned up the centre this morning and
then headed out to enjoy some final climbing on the high ropes and even got a
bit of sunshine. The coach will be picking us up around midday, so with good
traffic we should be back at school between 5 and 6pm.
Yorkshire Dales Day 4
To
everyone's relief, the weather picked up again today and all pupils managed to
do their activities without getting too wet (except those who fell/jumped into
the lake). Groups swapped round for their final activities. Special mention to
group C, who managed to make two successful rafts - well done! Park trip and
packing in the evening, all seemed pleasantly tired by the end of the day.
Weather forecast is looking good for final activities tomorrow, fingers
crossed!

Yorkshire Dales - Day 3
Due to some heavy rain we had a few changes to our
planned activities today. Group C (mountain activities) had to come back early
as the weaselling section was flooded, so they did some extra
training on the indoor climbing walls at the centre.
Group A persevered through the orienteering part of the day, but had to opt for canoeing rather than raft building. It seemed they were disappointed not to have an opportunity to fall in, so most of them jumped in for a swim in the rain at the end!
Group B evacuated the "dry" Gill scramble due to excessive rain - a good call by the instructor.
In the evening all pupils raced round the underground labyrinth and then went to the park to enjoy the late evening sunshine!

An action packed day, trying our hands at archery, climbing, canoeing - with some of us getting a little wet in the process!

Despite
some rain while we were on the coach, weather has been great here so far. Team
building, bouldering and a trip to the park, followed by watching the football.

Yorkshire Dales
Our first day in the Yorkshire Dales was great!
We took an an adventure walk and then trained on the indoor climbing wall, as a warm-up for Gill Scrambling today [day 2]!

YORKSHIRE DALES - UPDATE
Luckily the weather's still holding. A few bruises from
the mountain biking yesterday, but all are in good spirits out for their second
day of activities today. Waiting to see if either of today's rafts will float!
