After an early start, we drove into the centre of Paris
(along with all the commuters). Half the group did a 3 hour guided cycling tour
around Paris, with some stop offs for photos and tasters in the boulangeries.
They successfully navigated the streets and avoided the crazy traffic and had a
lovely time. The other half of the group did a 3 course cookery class at ‘La
Cuisine Paris’ cookery school. They all learned some very highly skilled
cooking skills and made a delicious meal- vegetable tarte tartin, followed by
chicken stuffed with mushrooms and pesto with a salad and a white chocolate mousse
to finish off. Yum!
After lunch, we all joined back together and went to visit
Sacre Coeur and explore the arty streets of Monte Marte. Most enjoyed a cooling
pre-dinner swim once we got back at the centre. After dinner the students
enjoyed a cheese tasting evening with a cheese-related quiz and cheesey joke
round. We’ve certainly packed a lot in and are having lots of fun!
