Today
started off with a trip to Waterloo and the Memorial 1816, a fascinating and
engaging museum about the Battle of Waterloo. Students learnt about the history
of the battle, as well as heard testimonies and saw uniforms from the era. Then
students climbed the 226 steps up to the top of the Lion's Mount, which
commemorates the battle, to see the view of the battlefields upon which the
battle was fought. Spectacular views on all sides.
After
the museum was Walibi Belgium, where there were rides, roller coasters and
other fun activities. Students enjoyed themselves immensely in the park.
Our
last dinner in the hotel was a good one; the food was delicious and the
students did really well with cleaning up after themselves. After dinner
surprisingly few students watched the England vs Belgium, instead they played
ball games and on the playground with each other.
