Yorkshire Dales Day 4

To everyone's relief, the weather picked up again today and all pupils managed to do their activities without getting too wet (except those who fell/jumped into the lake). Groups swapped round for their final activities. Special mention to group C, who managed to make two successful rafts - well done! Park trip and packing in the evening, all seemed pleasantly tired by the end of the day. Weather forecast is looking good for final activities tomorrow, fingers crossed!

Eco Explorer - Day 4

Exploring St Ives on a Murder Mystery Trail, followed by a pasties and a play at the amazing Minack Theatre near Lands End, then a quick dip in the pool at the campsite nearby, before dinner and a lively quiz!

Theatreland Day 4

Theatrelanders join  in enthusiastically with a National Theatre drama workshop.

Working on the details of an improvised performance for The Threepenny Opera

The girls perform their improvised roles at the National Theatre workshop to great amusement.

Waiting with excitement for curtain up at the Royal Opera House

We enjoy the superb music and visuals of the Royal Opera House production of Verdi's Nabucco.

Tour du Mont Blanc - Day 4

An exhausting, exhilarating day as we climbed our way to the high point of Activities Week: the Col de Seigne. At 2,512 metres, this is the border between France and Italy. There's no border control, but the risotto and foccacia at our refuge were firm confirmation of our Italian arrival!

Lunch! We're burning about 5,000 calories a day, so extra large lunches are called for...

Marmots on patrol (this one was warning his friends about the eagle circling in the sky above, searching for a furry snack)

Heading towards Italy

"Latymer" group shot attempted at 2,500 metres!

What's the quickest way down..?

Ardeche Day 5

The adventure continues down on the beach!

Tour du Mont Blanc - Day 3

The group have done amazingly well in tackling huge, unseasonal amounts of snow. We climbed up to our refuge at 2,400 metres - spent the night next to many an Alpine Ibex!

The group continues to impress with its fitness and camaraderie.

Mr Jordan's penthouse accommodation is only accessible by lift...

Mussels in Brussels Day 4

Students thankfully didn't meet their Waterloo climbing up the Lion's Mount before taking a breather in the throne room.

Gastronomic London - Day 4

In the morning, students were treated to a cooking masterclass at the School of Wok. The spring rolls they made were delicious.

This was only beaten by the chocolate we had at Hotel Chocolat, made by the students' fair hands. Chocolate has never tasted so good!

Normandy Day 4

Another action packed day in Normandy! We started with the market challenge when we were responsible for buying all of the ingredients on the shopping list to make lunch for thirty people - it was certainly a test of our French!  We just about managed it and only one group got confused and bought 7 slices of saucisson for 35 people as opposed to 7 saucisson! After this we went on a disused railway and cycled along this admiring the French countryside.  We enjoyed our picnic lunch and a quick game of inter-year football (4-4), before heading to do some kayaking. This was really fun and despite the fact that the sun wasn't shining, we enjoyed splashing about on the river.  The best bit was definitely the slide at the end!

Skern Lodge - Day 4

High hopes at Skern!
