SKERN LODGE - DAY 2 & 3

Tuesday

Wednesday

We were up bright and early for an adventurous day.  After our luxurious cooked breakfast we were soon on the coach to Hartland Cliffs.

After carrying the equipment and walking a little way to the cliff edge we were off; abseiling down the cliff! It was terrifying but exhilarating and will remain one of our best experiences.

Next we walked along the beach and enjoyed our well deserved packed lunch whilst jumping from rock to rock to avoid the incoming tide.

We then split into 3 groups; Hardcore Parcore, Slow but Steady and the Slow and Scared group(We won't divulge who went in this group).   We dashed along the waters edge and paired up as one of us traversed (walking sideways along the ledge on the rocks) and the other person spotted them in case they fell.

We then continued to the end of the beach where we jumped over a lake (pretty scary) and did some more traversing around the side; most of us fell in.  It was cold but refreshing and cooked us perfectly for the long trek back up to the coach.

When we finally reached the top we quickly changed and headed back to Skern Lodge.  Everybody scoffed down their dinner as we were all hungry after a hard days work.

For our evening activity we had Pool Olympics and split into our five groups for a series of different races and challenges.  Afterwards we all rushed back to the shower and had some free time before bed.

It was a fun filled and amazing day that we will never forget!
