We went to a school 5 miles from Essaouira in Ifran village run by headmistress Ms Najat.
We helped
paint the school and put more paint on the floor than on the walls. They loved meeting the Latymer pupils and
said that it was the participation that mattered not the quality of the work! They
thought it was an amazing gesture that we had travelled all that way to help
them.
We sang songs to the children: Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, Macarena, Okey Cokey and If You're Happy and You Know It...
The presents and clothes that we had brought out to Morocco were greatly appreciated.
Off to see souks today.
