We've
had a great day of history today Normandy. We started with a
visit to Bayeux where we took in the cathedral and the famous tapestry and enjoyed the commentary with lots of interesting fact about the battle of
Hastings.
Then we travelled to Arromanches where we had a picnic
lunch before seeing a 360 degree cinema film about the D-day landing. It
was really fascinating to see how the whole day was organised and the way the
harbour was built.
After this we went to a museum about the landing beaches
and then had some ice-cream. To finish the day we went to visit a British
World War Two cemetery.
